This is a traditionally-styled Barolo from the appellation’s westernmost vineyard site, in the sub-zone of La Morra. Coming from the winery’s most-prized vines, it is a complex, well-structured wine designed for long-term cellaring. Classic Barolo done right! Food Pairing Lamb dishes, wild mushrooms, stews

This wine opens with aromas of dark cherries, as if they've been gently stewed in their own juice. This fruit core is subtly warmed by an infusion of mixed spices and the delicate astringency of tea leaves. Wildflowers weave through the profile, introducing a sweet, spicy floral aspect. The tannins are fine and well-integrated, providing structure without overwhelming the palate. Drink 2025 - 2045

Nicola and Stefania Oberto may very well put Berri on the map with their 2020 Barolo Berri. What a wine. Deep, soaring and wonderfully expressive, the 2020 is stunning in its beauty. Dark red/purplish fruit, orange peel, cinnamon, rose petal and lavender are all amplified in a vertical, soaring Barolo of magnificent intensity. Silky, polished tannins round things out in style. The 2020 is pure and sensual to the core - a total pleasure bomb.

Tasted from the bottle, the 2020 Barolo Berri is a ripe ruby color and is fruity on the nose, with black raspberries, fresh lavender, candied orange, and wet stones. It has a rounded feel on the palate, with ripe tannins and offers a more immediate feel. It's gorgeous now but also has a great mineral backbone and the freshness and elegance to age gracefully. This approachable red is going to drink well over the next 12-15 years.
