Meet Sharon Sevrens
Proprietor Sharon Sevrens, a former management consultant for Mercer Management Consulting and Merrill Lynch investment banker, opened Amanti Vino in 2005.
She is a sommelier and Diploma-certified by the prestigious UK-based Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) and the Sommelier Society of America. She is also Vice Conseiller Gastronomique of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.
She received her BS and MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Telegenic and knowledgeable, Sharon Sevrens' expertise is sought frequently by the press, as in this Wall Street Journal article, "Serving Montclair's Palate." She's been seen on “Today” in a July 4th All-American wine segment and About.com filmed her for their instructional wine video series. Sharon and the store have also been featured on CNBC, Channel 2 News, and News12 NJ in addition to frequent coverage in The Star-Ledger and New Jersey Monthly.
Sharon sits on the boards of Intensive Therapeutics (Vice Chair) and is a Trustee of the Jewish Women's Federation. She is also President of the Montclair Food + Wine Festival. Additionally, she is also Sustainer with Junior League of Montclair-Newark, local schools, and community-improvement efforts.
Born in London and raised in Denver, CO and Bryn Mawr, PA, Sharon currently resides in Harding, NJ with her husband, two children, and two dogs. Brody, the eldest, is an amiable black lab and the official store mascot. Mazy is still in training.
