The 2019 Aloxe-Corton La Toppe Au Vert ler Cru is more outgoing and expressive on the nose compared to the Les Valozieres at the moment. Joyful blueberry and cassis fruit laced with orange sorbet bursts from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. The acidity is very fine here, lending the finish a citrusy freshness. Lots of energy is packed into this Aloxe-Corton, which might drink a little earlier than the Valozieres. Excellent.
