Similarly deep purple-hued, the 2020 Cornas Terre Brulee has a darker, slightly richer, yet less complex style that also warrants bottle age. Offering more black fruits, scorched earth, burning embers, and ground pepper, it packs serious depth and power on the palate and is full-bodied, has lots of tannins, and a great finish. It's brilliant, but don't think about opening bottles for at least 5-6 years.

Inky ruby. Intensely perfumed, mineral-accented cherry and clack raspberry aromas, along with exotic spice, floral and pipe tobacco flourishes. Alluringly sweet and penetrating on the palate, offering sappy cherry-cola, dark berry, fruitcake, allspice and olive flavors that deepen steadily through the back half. Shows firm tension and excellent clarity on the youthfully tannic finish, which echoes the floral note and hangs on with superb tenacity.
