People always ask us what pairs better with Japanese food…wine or sake? WELL, LET'S FIND OUT! Sure, we’ve done a “Cru vs. Brew” dinner before, but we’ve never had the chance to host a Wine vs. Sake dinner before...UNTIL NOW! Join us at Nami Nori, one of Montclair's finest “new” restaurants, on Tuesday, January 28th @ 7PM for this epic showdown! For each of Nami's amazing courses, we will pair one wine and one premium sake to see which is the better pairing -once and for all! Amanti, naturally, will be representing the wine side, and we cannot wait to go head-to-head with our great friend, Will Sugerman, a former Amanti Alum and currently the New York Market Manager and Sake Educator for the Kome Collective! The Kome Collective is hands down the most comprehensive and diverse sake portfolio in the US. It is a collection of traditional and cutting edge thought leaders, producers, and brands with a commitment to the culture of Japan.
Originating in New York City, Nami Nori is a casual temaki bar specializing in open-style sushi hand rolls. Their menu features signature temaki, including crunchy varieties, as well as takes on the classics and a special vegan section. The open-style temaki allows guests to enjoy a wide variety of flavors, in each fun-to-eat, visually tempting bite. If you haven’t been to Nami yet, well, what are you waiting for?!? Now’s the time!
