It's a great day, folks! We just confirmed that Letizia Patane, from Vina Franchetti’s legendary Tenuta di Trinoro (Tuscany) & Passopisciaro (Mt. Etna, Sicily), is coming to The Break Room @ Guten Parts (Maplewood) on Friday, October 4th, @ 6:30PM, for an epic pairing dinner. When my sales rep told me that Letizia was coming to the market I immediately thought of Chef Sam Stymest and his fantastic supper club, Sam’s Table. This is the perfect opportunity for our first COLLABORATION!
Vina Franchetti: Founded by the late Andrea Franchetti, Tenuta di Trinoro & Passopisciaro are two of the most influential wineries in all of Italy. Located in a remote corner of southeastern Tuscany, Tenuta di Trinoro is celebrated for its age-worthy expressions of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot that would stand up to any great Bordeaux in a blind tasting. Following the triumph of Tenuta di Trinoro, Andrea Franchetti made the bold decision to restore an ancient farm and cellars nestled on the slopes of Mount Etna, a fiery volcano located in northeastern Sicily in 2000. This decision was “spot on” and sparked the international revival of this ancient growing region. We are thrilled to be able to showcase these world class wines for you!
Sam’s Table: We are very excited to partner with Chef Sam Stymest, one of the most talented young chefs in the state. His “Sam’s Table” is a Montclair-based supper club offering unique 5 course tasting experiences for each event using locally sourced ingredients. Chef Sam has developed a distinctive and personal culinary vision, and with the help of Giovanna and Trey managing the guest experience, it feels like you’re being hosted in a good friend’s home. Combining their talents with the dynamic of communal dining, each dinner is one-of-a-kind and memorable. It’s no wonder that Sam’s Table has developed a loyal following. This is truly a CAN’T MISS dinner for any fan of Italian wine.
